A few years later they moved to a farm Northwest of Wakefield where Gustaf grew to manhood. In the year 1906 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Louise Johnson. From the year 1910 to 1939 they lived on a farm North of Wakefield where they established a good farm and raised their family of two sons Russell and Kenneth. Mr. Wenstrand attended church from his early childhood. His father was the first chairman of the Wakefield Convenant Church and a strong leader in the church work. Mr. Wenstrand was active in church as a member of the board for some years and was generous in the support of the work. His good humor and friendly wit won him many friends in his community. In 1939 Mr. and Mrs. Wenstrand moved to Wakefield where they retired and lived until the passing of Mrs. Wenstrand in 1953, when he moved back to live with his sons part of the year with each one. He suffered a stroke August 9 and was taken to Wakefield Hospital where he passed away about 1:30 a.m. August 11. At his passing he was 82 years 7 months, 9 days. His daughter preceded him in death having died in infancy.
