Wednesday Rites for Mrs. Krantz
Mrs. Lena Krantz, 83, Estherville, died July 4 at the Good Samaritan Center where she had been a resident for 2 ½ years.
She was born Dec. 5, 1883 on a farm near Wallingford to William and Susan Johnson and attended rural schools near Wallingford.
In March of 1906, she was married to Charles Krantz at Estherville and had made her home in Emmet County all her life.
She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Irene Reno of Spirit Lake, two sons, Glenn Krantz and Kenneth Krantz, both of Estherville; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Guge of Estherville and Mrs. Alfred Nelson of Estherville.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, one daughter, three brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Oscar Engebretson will officiate. Friends may call anytime at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 6, 1970)
