PEORIA - Doris M. Ahlstrom, 90, of rural Peoria passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1924, in Shadyside, Ohio, the daughter of John and Evelyn Kelley Land. She married William "Axel" Ahlstrom on March 8, 1958, in Bartonville, Ill. He passed away on Jan. 10, 1996.
One sister, Pauline M. Peer, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one niece, Patricia (Brian) Gareau of Edwards; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
She worked for many years as a waitress at Jim's Steakhouse.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of her remains will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
